Celebrate Earth Day with the Alima Pure Cascadia Collection

April 22 is Earth Day, and it’s never too early to treat yourself or a friend with a little gift that will both lift spirits and benefit the earth.  Alima Pure’s new Cascadia Collection celebrates the natural beauty of our home in Oregon, and $5 from the sale of each set ($25) will be donated to ecotrust for reforestation projects.  This limited edition set features four beautiful shadows that are named for some of our naturally gorgeous geographical treasures.

Columbia Gorge is a sparkling, vibrant gold.  The 80-mile Columbia Gorge, which forms part of the boundary between Oregon and Washington, is home to a plethora of waterfalls and wildflowers.  Windsurfers dot the surface of the Columbia River below.  In 1805 the Lewis and Clark expedition traveled through the gorge to the Pacific Ocean.

Crater Lake is a light blue with a hint of golden sunlight.  Crater Lake is a caldera lake located in Southern Oregon.  Formed around 7,700 years ago with the collapse of Mt. Mazama, the lake is filled with some of the most pure water in North America.  Crater Lake was featured on the 2005 Oregon State quarter.

Wallowas is a soft, gentle green with subtle shimmer.  The Wallowa Mountains are a range in northeastern Oregon, often called the “Alps of Oregon.”  It’s deep, glacier-carved valleys feature lakes, streams and abundant wildlife.  The Wallowas were once home to the Nez Perce and Chief Joseph.

Lava Butte is a deep, rich and sparkling brown.  A cindercone in Central Oregon, Lava Butte is part of the Newberry National Volcanic Monument.  In 1966, astronauts trained for upcoming moon landings on the slopes of Lava Butte.
